Steven D. Thompson

Lead Pastor

Pastor Steve started his ministry in 1980 and served in various associate positions before becoming Pastor at RCC in 1997. His vision for the Ridge area is to impact every area of life, from cradle to grave, with the message of Jesus Christ! His greatest joy is to see people come to Christ and then grow in their spiritual walk as they are taught the Word of God. Pastor Steve’s hobbies include golf, NASCAR, watching most sports, and music. Pastor Steve and Teresa experienced the greatest trial of their lives in October of 2006, when they lost their oldest daughter, Celeste, in a car accident. From the tragedy a great desire ignited in Pastor Steve’s heart for seeing others walk through the trials and tragedies of life into health and healing. God continues to give strength to Pastor Steve, Teresa, and their family as they walk together through this trial.

Josiah Keefer became part of RCC in December 2008 sharing his musical talents through choir and worship band. He assumed the role of Worship Pastor in March 2012. Josiah spent his teenage years training in classical piano and voice while developing his ability to play the saxophone and guitar. Josiah’s dedication to musical development led the way to his selection to perform with the largest faith-based live theatre in the country. He spent an extended time at Sight & Sound Theatre in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, as a lead vocalist and piano performer in the production of “The Psalms of David.” In addition to his love for music, Josiah has a passion for early American history and has spent time studying the people behind the principles on which our nation was founded. Josiah adheres to the belief that an intimate relationship with God is fundamental in the life of the believer. With that, he feels that worship music prepares the heart for an intimate encounter with God where such intimacy is fostered and lives are changed.
